Munich was founded as a small city surrounded by a wall, which its borders later crossed.
In the inner part of the city, everything is so close together and everything occupies such a small area that it is easy to reach any place in just a few minutes. This gives the feeling that the wall and its gates are actually still in effect.
The Isar River flows through the city and the surrounding areas are usually very green places.
